Week#3Thursday

Today was kinda a good day and it was also a fast day. Kid's came in around 12 so I stayed busy today because my schedule was Game room game Room Rover back to game room and game room for the final hour, so basically I spent my day in the game room interacting with the kid's by playing Futzbol, ping pong, Connect four and Xbox games showing them how to play. Doing my Rover I went on the second floor and I had to Play with a old lady in uno cause she had no one to play with, so basically I played games the whole day. Now I'm studying for my Finals tomorrow finals.

Week3 Wednesday

Today has been a good day, I'll say but I'm really tired and ready for the day to end because I didn't go to sleep until 4 am this morning having to work at 11am in the morning could be hard because You not getting up early or having to go to sleep early but last night I couldn't go to sleep for some reason but I can't let my tiredness affect my job,  so I'm doing everything I suppose to do, even tho I want to go in the break room and take a nap on the couch! Today really being a Good day besides me being sleepy I spent my first two hours in the game room wasn't nobody really in the center until 2 pm people start coming in. Than my job after that was to rover around the building I did that,  that's one of the easiest jobs in the Williams center cause all You doing is Making sure people in there right spot and there no kid's running. After that I was sent to the playground,  there's no kid's out here so I said to myself I mine as Well do my blog

Week#3 Monday

Today was a good day was a good easy day. My Schedule was 11am till 12 am Game room,  and than 12 am till 1pm I had game room again,  basically what I do in the game room is set up uno,  Connect 4 and play with kid's with those games till my time is up. 1pm till 2 pm I Rover  around the  center make sure nobody running or fighting. And then I had playground area till 3pm but there was no one on the playground so I took my break.  3 pm till 4 I was in the lunchroom but there was really nothing in there to clean up so she just let me be on my phone until I clocked out

Thursday Week#2

Thursday 7/24/2014 I forgot to do my blog because it was Really a busy day, not just at work but also when I left work, I see Thursday and Friday's be the busiest days at the Williams center,  It was a lot of kid's Thursdays playing Connect 4, Uno, Phase 10 and the Xbox 360 and plus it was a lot of kid's in the pool and gym area,  so Yeah I was all over that day at work,  so o really didn't have the time to sit down and tell You about my day because after I left work I had to go downtown on Woodward and 30E Canfield to get my Credit Card for my money and I was down there from 400 pm till 530 pm so when I got home around 730 , The blog had already had slipped my mind, But besides all that Thursday was a good day! 

Wesenday Week #2

Today at work has been a boring day slow day, I woke up at 9am took a shower had a nice breakfast Grits, Eggs, and pancakes so I started off the day good until I arrived to work and it seem like the day just went by slow.  I had to set the games up which is connect four and uno. The kid's didn't come in till the pool open at 145-245 and after the pool close the lobby was empty the kid's left and it  was really a slow day. I was tired it just wasn't my day today, I have these types of days and today was one of them days, Hopefully tommrow be a better day.

Tuesday week #2

Umm today has going really well, I came to work around 10:30 Clock in , got ready for work, bit come to find out the boss didn't wasn't coming in today,  so basically we had to follow the same schedule from yesterday. I sat at the front desk today half of the day and answer calls,  half of the employees was gone out for today's program at Chene Park for the senior friendship day from 10-2 so basically it was really nonthing for us to do today!

Monday Week #2

Well Since I'm doing locker room duty,  I mines as Well tell You about my day that started at 11:00 am. Basically what I did today was Set up games like Uno, and chess, I played uno with a couple of employees because the kids don't come in until 12:00pm. After that hour pass I was assist to become a Rover,  Basically what I did was walk around make sure everybody was in there right place, such people as kid's and the older people who walking around lost that's basically what a Rover do.  I also help out the men in the gym by playing basketball with them,  Playing a little 5on5 until 1:00 and I assist the locker room until 2:00pm and at 2:00pm I assist the lunch room, helping the lady clean up! So basically what I do at this center is the stuff they tell me to do like if they tell me to Watch. Kid's or Play board games I have to do it, but they change up things Every Week!

Thursday

The last day of the week of me working was kinda good. I set up games like Uno, Phase 10, Connect 4 and Scrabble for the kids and Set up Xbox 360 and Psp 3 for the teenagers. For the first 2 hours of work I played games with the kids communicating with them teaching them how to play stuff like that after the 2 hours I say around 1 a clock  I moved from the game room to the locker room to monitor the kids and make sure its no running or fighting, but when I walked in there I saw a naked old man shaving in the mirror conversation with a man taking a shower, and from that point I didn't do my job, so I sat out in the lobby til it was time for me to go to my next spot at 2 pm. Once 2 came I was told to sit out side at the park to watch over the kids but it was no kids so I basically sat out there by myself for the whole our , but other than that It was a good day for me at work.

Wesenday

Today was a alright day it could of been better. The reason why I said that it was a alright day, is because basically the whole day I set by the pool watching kids swim and after a minute it got boring and I wanted to swim cause of the water I kept seeing. I sat by the pool till 2:30 and after that I moved to the front desk and answer phones for the rest of the day and that's basically it.

Tuesday

Well You should already know what I work at if not I work at the Williams Center on Rosa Parks Blvd . Um I actually like my job, the reason I like it because that's the job that can get in you in there even when I'm done with the summer program. Today was a good day, what I'm doing at the job is working with the kids assorting people to where there suppose to be. The people at my job is actually nice people and crazy but they nice to the Yes program people but other than that today been a nice day.

Monday First Day

Today was the day I was ready, I woke up at 6 am took a shower got dressed and ready to work, about the time I was done at 7:30 I had a opportunity to eat breakfast and I did I had a granola bar and a orange juice and I played my game till It was time to go. When I arrived to the Williams Center at 9:00 am It was me Demetrius, Ross, and Blake standing outside waiting on the center to open, but come to find out the center didn't open til 11:00 am . Demetrius and Blake left while me and Ross stayed and wait for it to open. When it open we met the boss named Ms.Henderson and she was a nice lady. She made sure that we picked our schedule first since we stayed , so she got us set and basically on the first day we sat at the front desk all day Monday and it was a perfect day for me

My summer program job

My name is Malik Waites I'm a 18 year old attending Central Collegiate Academy Becoming a Senior. I'm also attending E-FLEX program at Williams Recreation Center on Rosa Parks BLVD. I'm hoping that this job is a good job and not a bad job. I have no idea of what I'm going be doing there because I never been in there before. I thought that I probably thought that I would be teaching people how to swim and play more sports. I'm really not concerned on anything right now because I really don't know what I pose to be doing at the Center. This job will also help me a lot because I was not planning on coming to school this summer but when I heard about the summer programs going on in Central I said to my self if I go to the summer program and work I wouldn't have to do any work. The job I work at is right across the street from my house so that's a good place for me to work. This job is a good thing for my future, I'm hoping to gain a lot if experience from this job. I can feel independent, self made, on my own without asking my mother for money. The job is basically getting me ready for the real world, so when I do get a real job in the future I will have some type of experience.  I do know a little of experience because I worked at a Barber Shop in Atlanta for cleaning up the shop and sweeping up hair and that was when I was 12, 13. Was I nervous when I start working there? No I wasn't, the reason why I was not nervous is because that job came to me, the owner came to me asking me do I want a after school job I said yeah i didn't know what I was going be doing it was just that I Wanted to work I love getting money and thats how I feel about working in this summer program as long as it keep me busy and occupied instead of going to school all summer.
